The safety and well-being of our clients, volunteers and community is a top priority at the Food Bank. In light of the rising concerns regarding COVID-19, the following changes have been implemented effective immediately to enhance the safety of our operations:
Office hours on Monday, Wednesday and Friday have been cancelled until further notice.
Shopping Day is cancelled until further notice.
Bread pickups by clients is cancelled until further notice.
We are taking great care and increasing our sanitation measures, as the health of our volunteers and clients are of the utmost importance.
We will still be operating our Hamper Days but will have new measures in place to reduce social contact. Please be aware of changes to Hamper Day:
Only one client will be allowed in the building at any given moment to pick up their hamper.
Clients must arrive at their appointment time - not before and not later.
Any individual entering the building will be required to disinfect their hands using hand sanitizer.
Bread will not be available on front shelves. Extra bread will be placed into your hamper.
You will not be able to go through your hamper before leaving, you must take it as it is packed
Our volunteers are striving to maintain operations so we can continue to help those in need, but as the situation develops, things may change. The Food Bank will continue to communicate any changes in our operations.
