Christmas Hamper Program

The Fort Saskatchewan Food Bank is proud to be the primary agency providing assistance to families, seniors and individuals in need during Christmastime. Christmastime assistance is provided through the Christmas Hamper Program, which distributed once a year on the weekend before Christmas.

If you are a family or individual seeking assistance this holiday season, please apply to the Christmas Hamper Program. Christmas Hamper Applications will be available from November 25 to December 18th 2019.  Applications submitted after this date will not be accepted. 

Applications must completed in-person at the Food Bank Office at the following times: 

Mondays 2:00-6:00pm

Wednesday 10:00-2:00pm

Friday 10:00-2:00pm 

Applicants must provide the following to complete their application: 

1) Photo ID for all adults

2) Alberta Health Care cards for all adults and children

3) Current proof of address (current utility bill, current lease etc) 

Program Guidelines

  • Applicants may only apply for their immediate family.

  • Current food bank clients are not automatically registered to receive a Christmas Hamper - a separate application is required. 

  • Those who received a Christmas Hamper last year are not automatically registered to receive a hamper this year - a new 2019 application is required. 

  • Hamper Delivery Day is Saturday December 21st between 9AM and noon. Recipients must be home to receive their hampers. 

  • There is currently no option to pick up a Christmas Hamper.
